CP- 3001Ultrasonic Distance Meter User Manual

 

Install a battery

Your rangefinder requirements12V(23A) battery (not supplied) for power.

Please install the battery according to the following steps.

1.Slide the battery compartment cover open in the direction of the arrow.

2.Connect the battery according to the positive and negative polarity indicated in the compartment (+/-) into the battery compartment in the correct direction.

3.Replace the lid.

4.When the low battery warning icon appears or the meter stops working properly, replace the battery.

Note: If the rangefinder will not be used for one month or more, please remove the battery. The battery may leak the chemicals of the internal electronic component.

Before use, the ranging meter can adapt to the surrounding environment

Your rangefinder is sensitive to changes in ambient temperature and humidity.Before you use, please wait for approx.15-30minutes to allow it to stabilize to the current room temperature.

Formal operation

Turn on the rangefinder/close

Press“READ”key to start the rangefinder.if30If no key is pressed within seconds, the rangefinder will automatically shut down.

Measure

1.After powering on, press again“READ”key, the distance between the rangefinder and the measured point will be displayed on the screen.

2.Place the bottom of the rangefinder flat against the wall, approximately midway from floor to ceiling.Make sure there are no obstructions between the rangefinder and the point being measured.And make sure your head or hands are not in front of the rangefinder.

Things to note:

The measurement results will continue to display for approx.30seconds (or longer if here30you pressed another key within seconds).

If the distance you are trying to measure is less than2foot(0.6meters) or higher60foot(18m), will appear on the screen“ERROR”(error) prompt.

Warm reminder:

 

Some types of curtains and shutters may absorb sound waves, resulting in inaccurate measurement results.If you measure a room with curtains, first open the curtain to directly measure the distance from the ranging meter to the window.In addition, make sure that the window is closed.

If there is a block between the rangefinder and the measured point, the measurement results you get may be error, because the measurement data is obtained from the reflection of the sound waves from these blocking materials (such as a chair, a table, and other surfaces on the surface.Rough objects) rather than reflected from the real measurement point reflected from the real measurement point.If you are not sure if the measurement results are correct, move the rangefinder a little, and then measure again.

If the surface of the measurement point is uneven or a narrow corridor, you may get a wrong reading.If this happens, make sure that the surface of the measurement point is flat or to the middle of the corridor for measurement.

If the measured distance exceeds60foot(18meters), you can choose to stand at the midpoint of the distance and test both ends separately, and then add the two test results.
